Vermicomposting is composting with worms. We will teach folks how to crate their own worm bin and how to use it.
The hope for this workshop is to teach people how they can compost at home and help them to understand why they should. Food waste is a global problem and such a valuable resource, we think everyone should compost to help minimize our landfills and save our soils. We all create food waste. We can all benefit from composting it. Worm bins are less smelly and messy than traditional compost piles, good for small spaces, and create very nutrient rich soil for our plants. Guests can also expect to learn a thing or two about soil science. General Admission $1o. Get your tickets here….
