The purpose of this workshop is to teach parents how to make their own baby food using fresh produce. Alexandra has been making her daughters food since she was 6 months old from scratch. One of the most compelling aspects for her making her own baby food was when she bought a can of commercial- organic baby food (it had only carrots and water) and then she made her own puree with organic carrots and water. It was mind blowing to be able to not only see the visible difference between the 2 in their color but the taste was drastically different. The commercial food tasted nothing like carrots and had a slightly sour aftertaste and the homemade puree tasted so good her entire family had some for dinner as a side.
