noon to 1pm: Markus (aka Mark Carufel) and CRS
A gifted and prolific songwriter, Mark “Markus” Carufel was born in Bismarck, North Dakota and has lived all over the United States from Alaska to Florida. His musical influences come from every genre with influences ranging from Bob Dylan, Doc Watson, to the Beatles and more. – Mark’s songwriting is thoughtful, dynamic and fun. Mark would describe his music as “folk-rock”. A well-crafted song with a message has always been his goal. Mark is a warm and engaging performer who will remind you of the likes of James Taylor and Paul McCartney – he will leave you uplifted with delightful original songs and covers of some familiar favorites.
Joining Mark on stage are Joe Reino and Brian Smeed, playing together as CRS.
Together they play a mix of originals and cover songs. Mark plays guitar and ukulele. Brian lays down a solid bass line on his stand-up bass. He also plays a mean fiddle, and sings a few covers. Joe plays guitar, harmonica and some old time banjo. They cover songs from old time, to bluegrass to blues, rock and anything in between.
And includes a really cool parrot…..
