Enjoy the bounty of herbs while they are in season and prepare them to be used later with skills from this free cooking demo. Julie Miller will teach participants how to take care of fresh herbs, preserve herbs for future use as well as make homemade bouillon, celery salt, gomasio salt, and herbal seasonings that are cost effective and can be used year round. This demo will be focused on using seasonal, Florida grown vegetables and herbs while adding GLEEN (Good, Local, Easy, Economical, Nutritional) principles to your diet.
Julie Miller is passionate about teaching people the ease and simplicity of cooking basic good food that provides good nutrition. Julie is also a certificated Health Coach from the Institute for Integrated Nutrition and leads wild edible native Florida plant tours at a local park.
