Hapi McKenzie – Guitar, Vocals. Patty Pfister – Violin, Vocals. This group has played all over the south for 20+ years, including music festivals, Skipper’s Smokehouse, Tropicana Field, just to name a few. They have a special affinity for music legend Gram Parsons and composed the title track, “Fire in the Desert” for the movie concerning his untimely demise. They are frequently featured at GramFest and the Gram parsons Memorial Guitar Pull in Waycross Georgia, and even won the Brass Buttons award at a recent festival.
1 pm – the Joe Milligan Group
Singer/songwriter Joe Milligan has been performing with his band for many years in the Bay area to critical acclaim. His songs are insightful, wise, and well crafted. Returning with him to the Sweetwater stage are Bill LaGrandier (drums, percussion), Russell Roush (bass), Mandy Frick (backing vocals/harmony) and guest lead guitar L.A. Moore. Their sound is a unique and listenable brand of Americana all their own incorporating elements of folk and country to jazz and rock. Following on the success of their first album in 2015 “Anticipation”, they are working on a brand new album and the band will be featuring selections from that in their show! Exciting new music live on the Sweetwater stage!
