noon to 1pm: Dumb Blind Luck
One of our favorite Tampa Bay bands returns to the Farm with their jazz informed pop/rock sound that makes for an amazing musical experience!
Dumb Blind Luck started with Bob and Cookie getting together to play songs for fun. They discovered that they were both good songwriters as they worked out a number of arrangements of their compositions. Mike was recruited to play trumpet and, later, bass. Tony came along to play drums and a band was born.
They have been playing locally since the late 90’s. Cookie, Bob and Mike arrived from San Francisco. Tony hails from Cuba via Spain.
They have recorded a CD titled “What’s The Deal”, available on iTunes, and a live CD “Live From Earth”.
1pm Mark Carufel
A gifted and prolific songwriter, Mark “Markus” Carufel was born in Bismarck, North Dakota and has lived all over the United States from Alaska to Florida. His musical influences come from every genre with influences ranging from Bob Dylan, Doc Watson, to the Beatles and more. Mark would describe his music as “folk-rock”. A well-crafted song with a message has always been his goal. The quest for answers to the reason for our existence is the motivation behind many of his songs and love songs fit into that quest.
Mark is a warm and engaging performer who will remind you of the likes of James Taylor and Paul McCartney – he will leave you uplifted with delightful original songs and covers of some familiar favorites.
